Moderator’s BBQ
For two years now, the Moderator of the Presbytery of Montreal has held a BBQ for anyone who has joined the Presbytery in the last year. So, this year I had the opportunity to host. It was held at the Presbyterian College, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. You’ll see, right to left, Danielle P., children and youth director at Briarwood; Andre her finance; Liza, a student at PC; Kay, the new associate Minister at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, Sarina, a Minister in the PCUSA; holding Junia; behind her the Minister at Cotes-des-Neiges; beside her her husband Brett; then Paul, the new director of Action Refugees Montreal; Joe, the Minister at Masionneuve and past Moderator of the Presbytery; Mike, the Clerk of Presbytery; William, the former former Principal of the Presbyterian College; behind is me; and finally, John, the former Principal of the College and the Moderator of the 139th General Assembly. Thank you to everyone for coming!

Greetings
This Sunday is one, blended service at 10:30 a.m. We’ll look at the text from Acts where followers of Jesus are first called “Christians”. Acts 11: 19-26. During the service there is a BBQ for all the kids and teens in the Sunday faith programs.
After the service we meet for the Election of Elders. Four candidates are on the ballot and there is a bulletin insert with information on each candidate.

Please also remember the wedding of Michael and Christiania on Ile Bizard this Saturday afternoon.
Thanks to Danielle, it is now possible to register for VBC June 25-28 online.
Wishing everyone God’s presence and blessing this weekend.
See you Sunday.

Jesus
the delightful taste of your love
is impossible to describe.
If I were wanting to speak about
your inexpressible joy, Lord Jesus,
I would seem to be trying to empty the sea
drop by drop,
and bit by bit to squeeze it
into a tiny hole hole in the sand.
