This Sunday we welcome Cathy Scott to Briarwood. She is the sister of Marilyn Scott, and is discerning a call to ministry in the P.C.C. We continue with two services, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., with a Nursery and Kids faith program at both.

This week I’ve been working on the Introduction to Christianity course, starting August 29th here at Briarwood for 5 weeks. Topics to include: spirituality vs. religion, how do we talk about God?, who is Jesus?, a Holy Spirt?, the good life, what is the Bible all about?, is what we see all there is? There is a sign-up sheet in the Hall.
For anyone interested, I will also be teaching a course later in the Fall at the Montreal School of Theology, “Introduction to the Hebrew Bible”. This will be over 12 weeks, and you can find more information at mtsbible.wordpress.com
