“The angel said to them, ‘You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised…'”. Mark 16: 6
We’re going to talk a lot about the Resurrection on Easter Sunday morning. This month is a great month because Easter comes. We’re going to talk about the Resurrection then, but let me say just a few things now. About where I see resurrection, new life, good things in this community of Christian faith called Briarwood.
I see resurrection and new life in the recent youth group community scavenger hunt, when 13 youth from Briarwood and the vicinity gathered for here games and prayers.
I see resurrection in the newly formed parents and tots Bible study here on Wednesday mornings, where 3-5 parents with children gather each week for spiritual conversation.
I see resurrection and new life in the 5-8 CEGEP, University and early career-ers that meet twice a month for study, sharing and prayer at the Heusers’ home in Senneville. Their focus is a C.S. Lewis book and the Gospel of Matthew.
I see resurrection and new life in the relationships of care in the monthly book club, now going on past book #75.
I see resurrection and new life in the 15 children under 10 that enjoyed the children’s program last Sunday.
From Living Faith/Foi Vivante:
“Jesus suffered, died and was buried, but God raised him from the dead. Risen and ascended, he is alive now, the living Lord.”
Best wishes, and Happy Easter!
